This week-Our Role Model
And at that topic one person comes to mind, My father.
My dad is the greatest. I love him with every bit of my heart. He has been there for me through everything. I would love to be like him. There isn't just a few things to say about him, there is many. He completes every goal he has. He works hard to achieve what he wants. He hardly ever procratinates. He gets things done and has been through the toughist things, and I don't even know the half of them. I know I can count on him if worst comes to worst. He did a great job being a single parent and I love him more for that. He did the best he could with what he had to make my brother and my life the best. He kept my brother and I both out of trouble. Because of him I knew better then to do stupid things. Because of him I chose right instead of wrong, and honestly a lot of the reasons I chose right was because I didn't want to disappoint him. He taught me to do for myself. I earn my income and pay my bills. I take care of what I need to take care of. I thank him for that. Although it seemed like he was rough on me at times, I look back and realize it made me who I am today.
He is a tough act to follow, but I would love to try.
I look at where he started in life and where he is now and I don't know who wouldn't want to do the same in there life. He definitely started near the bottom and worked his way to the top. Thing is, he is still working for above and beyond the top. He doesn't just settle for what he has when he knows he can strive for more. He is brilliant and strong willed.
Now why wouldn't I want to be anything but like my father? I hope one day I can say I've achieved as much as him. When time comes for me to have children of my own, I hope I am just as great of a parent as him.
