Sabrina-It's All in the Smile

This weeks topic: What was your dream career as a child and has it changed?

As a kid I've always wanted to be a dentist. I had never had a bad experience with the dentist and I loved going there. Teeth is one if the first things you notice on a person and it was definitely something I was constantly looking at in people. I loved going to the dentist knowing that they were going to scrub my teeth. I loved getting x-rays and getting the goody bag at the end. The dental hygienists and assistants were always so nice. I hate shots and yet I didn't mind them at the dentist. It was the one place I wasn't scared of shots.

To this day I'd love to be a dentist. It is a little too much schooling for my liking so I want to be a dental hygienist instead. That is my dream career and goal now. I still love the dentist. I love the x-rays and the goody bags are still my favorite by far! Teeth is still something I look at in people. It can describe a lot about a person. It's one of the first things I notice when I meet people, their smile. A smile makes the world better and brighter and I'd like to be the one to make every one's smiles brighter. I want to be the one to scrub teeth all day and point out to just about every patient I have about their lack of flossing. I want to hand out those goody bags to little kids and adults who are still kids at heart. I'd love to make a child's experience with me so pleasant that they will love the dentist's office as much as I did.

  3. I'm terrified of dentists! But my son does well, mostly because he goes to one who specializes in pediatrics. Good luck!
