Well for me, my dream career as a child was to become a doctor. A Pediatrician to be more exact. Ever since I could remember the human body fascinated me and I wanted to help take care of people. I used to read anatomy books when children read Dr. Seuss and my mother's drug reference books and medical dictionary. Not that I understood much of what it said but I tried! Until about high school I stuck to this dream, then I kept changing my mind on what i wanted to do. First it was Photographer, then Counselor and now Nurse.
Now, me changing my mind so much might be seen as a bad. Who's to say I won't change my mind again? True. I could possibly change my mind again but then again becoming a nurse feels right to me. Those other career options? Didn't feel right to me. Not one bit. But being a nurse? It sounds right. It feels right. I wanna help people. Being a nurse is the best way for me to do it and so that's what I am going to school for. To become a Nurse.
Right now, I am taking the pre-requisites to the Associate Degree in Nursing Program. I'm going to become a Registered Nurse. I won't be able to apply for the program though until 2013. After I become a R.N., I am going to go into the R.N. to B.S.N program at the college and get my Bachelor's. After I get my Bachelor's, I aspire to get my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and become a Nurse Practitioner. Of course im not doing this all in one go. its gonna be atleast 10 years after i get my Bachelor's that I will even consider getting my DNP.
Anyways, thats my goals and I am sticking with them. :)
